Position Overview

The Ghoman Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Attorney to provide legal guidance and support across our growing portfolio of hospitality and real estate operations. The ideal candidate will advise executive leadership on corporate governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, employment matters, risk management, and business transactions while ensuring the organization operates in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, service agreements, leases, and NDAs.
  • Provide legal counsel to executive leadership on corporate, employment, hospitality, and business law matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting company operations.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including board meetings, corporate filings, and maintaining legal records.
  • Advise on business acquisitions, mergers, real estate transactions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with employment-related legal matters, including workplace policies, investigations, and dispute resolution.
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel and coordinate litigation when necessary.
  • Identify legal risks and develop proactive strategies to minimize liability.
  • Oversee intellectual property matters, licensing, permits, and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes that may impact business operations.
  • Provide legal training and guidance to management on compliance and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Indiana (or ability to obtain admission promptly).
  • Minimum 5 years of corporate law experience, preferably with experience in hospitality, commercial real estate, or multi-location business operations.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience handling business transactions, negotiations, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting hotel management companies, hospitality organizations, or commercial real estate businesses.
  • Knowledge of franchise agreements, hotel operations, and labor compliance.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and commercial leasing.
