Job Summary and Qualifications- You will supervise a variety of day-to-day operational functions and the Quality Assurance oversight for the Chemistry and Hematology sections
- This position provides technical bench work as needed to support workload demands
- You will establish and maintain laboratory records, reports, statistics, logs, and files consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies (e.g. CAP, DHS, TJC, FDA, CLIA, HCFA and OIG Laboratory Compliance)
- You will maintain oversight of Quality Control, Linearities, department QA forms, QAP, Quality Metrics and Quality Reports
- You will understand and actively participate in the departmental performance improvement, quality control, safety, environmental and infection control programs
What qualifications you will need:- Active Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in the State of California
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory principles, practices, and techniques
- Working knowledge of laboratory information systems
- Working knowledge of quality assurance/ performance improvement programs
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital laboratory experience in General Laboratory testing including methodological details and quality control
