Job Summary
We are seeking a senior Core Banking Transformation Lead to serve as the primary client-facing representative and senior banking functional subject matter expert for Client's -led core banking transformation programs in a system integration (SI) environment. The role requires a strong combination of banking domain expertise, Client's knowledge, core banking implementation experience, and client-facing consulting capabilities. The candidate will work closely with banks, internal teams, and Client's to understand business challenges, evaluate requirements, recommend solutions aligned with banking best practices, and translate business needs into practical functional design, configuration, and implementation. The role will lead the transformation journey from business discussions and solution design through configuration, implementation, testing, and Go-Live.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary client-facing representative and senior banking functional SME for -led transformation programs.
• Lead customer discussions, business process assessments (BPA), and requirements workshops.
• Understand banking products, processes, and business challenges and recommend solutions aligned with banking best practices.
• Challenge requirements where appropriate and shape the target banking solution and operating model.
• Own functional solution design and translate business requirements into Client's capabilities and configuration.
• Provide functional leadership across banking products, product parameterization, general ledger (GL), accounting, and core banking processes.
• Collaborate with banks and Client's to validate platform capabilities, solution options, and product gaps.
• Direct and guide Business Analysis, Integration, Data Migration, QA/Testing, and Technical teams to ensure end-to-end solution alignment.
• Provide functional leadership throughout system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, business validation, and Go-Live.
• Represent the organization confidently with senior bank stakeholders and provide pragmatic, implementation-oriented recommendations.
• Support the development of reusable banking transformation approaches, accelerators, and best practices within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFS) practice.
• Lead business discussions and translate complex banking requirements into practical solutions throughout implementation and deployment.
Required Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience in banking, core banking implementation, or banking transformation.
• Strong banking domain expertise across retail banking products and processes, including deposits, payments, lending, cards, and customer servicing, with experience in core banking transformation or implementation programs.
• Strong understanding of banking products, processes, and operating models.
• Strong working knowledge of Client's , including its functional capabilities, configuration, and implementation.
• Hands-on understanding of core banking capabilities, product setup and parameterization, GL and accounting, business processes and workflows, functional design and requirements mapping, integration dependencies, SIT/UAT, and Go-Live.
• Proven experience working with banks and financial institutions on transformation or core banking programs.
• Strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead business workshops and translate complex requirements into practical banking solutions.
• Ability to work directly with bank stakeholders and Client's teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, influencing, and solution-shaping skills.
• Ability to provide functional leadership and maintain end-to-end alignment across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous Client's implementation experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with other core banking platforms such as Finacle, T24, Flexcube, or FIS, with demonstrated transferable core banking expertise.
• Experience in large-scale core banking modernization and transformation programs.
• Understanding of integration, data migration, and end-to-end testing in core banking implementations.
• Experience working in a system integration (SI) or consulting environment.
