Description & RequirementsRole Overview
Reporting to the Lead Producer, we are seeking an experienced Art Producer to drive the creation of our iconic hard-surface assets, spanning legendary characters and cutting-edge weapons. This role owns the end-to-end art production pipeline for these critical assets, from concept and 3D modeling through to rigging, animation, and final polish.
We are looking for someone who can align the aesthetic bar set by the Franchise Art Director with the strict gameplay needs of the design team, ensuring our assets are both visually stunning and competitively viable. You will be a master of cross-functional communication, risk mitigation, and managing external vendor relationships to deliver high-quality content on a seasonal cadence.
What you'll do...
- Own Production Pipelines: Drive the end-to-end production for Legend and weapon 3D models, ensuring all assets are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate Art & Design Alignment: Act as the key liaison between the Art Director, concept artists, character artists, hard-surface modelers, and gameplay designers to ensure creative vision aligns with design requirements (hitboxes, readability, etc.).
- Manage Cross-Functional Art Dependencies: Partner with Rigging, Animation, VFX, and Technical Art teams to manage handoffs, flag dependencies, and resolve technical pipeline issues.
- Oversee Outsourcing (OS) Partners: Manage relationships with external vendors, including creating briefs, leading feedback sessions, tracking milestones, and ensuring quality control for all outsourced art assets.
- Track & Schedule Art Assets: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, asset tracking systems (e.g., Jira), and progress reports for all character and weapon models.
- Mitigate Art Production Risks: Proactively identify and solve risks related to asset scope, technical constraints, artistic feedback loops, and resource allocation to keep the art pipeline on track.
- Facilitate Reviews & Approvals: Schedule and lead art reviews with key stakeholders, ensuring feedback is consolidated, actionable, and communicated clearly to both internal and external artists.
Ideally, you will have...
- 3+ years of art production or art management experience in AAA game development, with a strong preference for experience in character and/or weapon art pipelines.
- A deep understanding of 3D art asset pipelines, including concepting, high/low-poly modeling, texturing, rigging, and integration into game engines.
- Proven experience managing external vendors or outsourcing (OS) partners, including brief creation, feedback delivery, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependencies between art, design, and engineering teams in a live service environment.
- Strong project management and scheduling skills, with proficiency in tools like Jira, ShotGrid, or other production tracking software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate gameplay requirements into actionable artistic feedback.
- A passion for hard-surface art, character design, and the collaborative process of building iconic assets for a global player base.
