Health & Safety CoordinatorRole OverviewAs the Health & Safety Coordinator, reporting to the Health and Safety Supervisor, you will support and strengthen the site's safety programs by performing a wide range of health and safety activities. You will play a key role in promoting compliance, identifying risks, and supporting employees and leaders in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular workplace inspections to ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures
- Facilitate incident investigations and support reporting requirements
- Assist with the development, review, and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
- Facilitate job hazard analyses (JHAs) and provide coaching on the use of the 5 Point Safety Card, job task observations, and other safety programs
- Perform data entry, record keeping, and maintenance of Health and Safety tracking systems
What You Bring to the Table- Diploma or certificate in Health and Safety or a related field (considered an asset)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and solid process management capabilities
- Professional attitude with well-developed teamwork and relationship-building skills

Working Conditions- 10-hour shifts on a 4/3 schedule for training, then switching to 10-hour shifts on a 7/7 schedule
- Site-based role at the Young-Davidson Mine
Travel & Accommodation- Travel Allowance of up to $25.00 CAD round trip
