Full Job Description
As a Controls Engineer - LabVIEW with Husco, you will play a key role in our Global Manufacturing Engineering Team with a strong focus on LabVIEW-driven controls development for large-scale automated test and assembly equipment. This position centers on designing, programming, and implementing robust modular LabVIEW applications that power both new and existing manufacturing technologies. You will be responsible for creating intuitive, reliable interfaces for end users while ensuring system performance and scalability. A successful Controls Engineer is self-motivated, thrives in problem-solving environments, can react quickly under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and brings strong attention to detail.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design, Test, and Deploy: Develop controls and software for automated test and manufacturing systems using LabVIEW. Assume ownership of system updates and new control functions from requirements definition through production deployment.
  • Create Modular Software Solutions: Architect and maintain reusable, modular LabVIEW applications using structured software-development practices, including documented requirements, software architecture, coding standards, testing, validation, source control, deployment, and continuous improvement. Leverage complementary technologies such as Python, C++, and other programming tools to enhance system capabilities, integration, automation, and data analysis.
  • Integrate Manufacturing Technologies: Integrate software with data acquisition hardware, sensors, instrumentation, PLCs, machine vision, robots, communication networks, laser marking equipment, and other manufacturing technologies.
  • Install, Support, and Standardize Systems: Support installation, commissioning, startup, debugging, and validation of systems at all Husco global locations. Train end users and contribute to common software frameworks, hardware architectures, engineering standards, and best practices that can be reused across manufacturing locations.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering field or equivalent work experience required
    • Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering Preferred
  • Experience with LabVIEW, C#, Python, C++, Java, or similar programming languages
  • Comprehension of software architecture, design patterns, and structured development practices.
  • Familiarity with source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.
