Qualifications

Full Job Description
Position Purpose and Expectations:

The role of this position is to support the manufacturing engineering department for all functions related to electrical engineering and support the maintenance department with issues related to troubleshooting electrical control systems and PLC programming.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
• Designs and fabricate of control panels to NEC standards for an industrial environment.
• Use CAD software to create and edit electrical drawings.
• The ability to read and edit programs using ladder logic for PLC's.
• Work with various departments to implement testing equipment to meet customer needs for pro-duction equipment.
• Assist the various departments with the purchase, installation, and startup of equipment for pro-duction needs.
• The ability to use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electrical products and systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competency:
• Must have be proficient with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC's.
• Must have experience with designing HMI's and various software related to this function.
• Must have be proficient with CAD software preferably AutoCAD LT or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Working knowledge of NEC and UL508 standards for industrial environment.
• Working Knowledge of design for machine safety
• Ability to troubleshoot various types of electrical systems.

Education and Experience:

4 year college degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
