Full Job Description
Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Direct and oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Accounting Principles
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive leadership.

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance:
  • Assist with costing models and updating machine rates.
  • Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate inventory accounting.
  • Support physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
  • Analyze variances between actual and standard costs.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis:
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
  • Oversee day to banking
  • Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels to optimize cash flow.
  • Support capital expenditure planning and investment analysis.

Leadership & Team Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members
  • Establish performance goals and accountability measures.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, production, purchasing, sales, and human resources.

Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Assist with annual audits, tax filings and transfer pricing reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal control systems.
  • Assist with Identifying financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting and cost accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with annual revenues exceeding $25 million.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and KPI development.
