The opportunityDelaware North Gaming is searching for a Controller to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. As Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and reporting functions for the unit, including accounting, annual planning, audit assistance, and cash management, as well as financial analysis of the operation. Our ideal candidate is deadline-driven, has the ability to prioritize and adapt to the fast-paced nature of our business, and is able to work with managers at all levels.
Pay Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $68,300 - $92,200 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do? - Prepare, review, and approve daily sales reports, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Analyze and report variances, monthly financial projections, and month-end accounting reports; oversee audit requirements.
- Oversee cash management and ensure segregation of duties.
- Control and direct inventory. Validate the accuracy of inventory variance.
- Implement and enforce internal controls; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- In conjunction with the General Manager, coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual plan budget and financial forecast.
- Analyze and interpret accounting information to assess operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters affecting the unit's fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness.
More about you - At least 5 years of accounting experience managing a multi-department operation in the hospitality industry of similar size and complexity is highly preferred.
- CPA preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of inventory controls, internal controls, audits, and cash management is a must.
- Experienced in PeopleSoft Financials Software or a similar system; Hyperion is a plus, and Microsoft Office.
