Journey is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking
Vice President of Finance to join our leadership team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the organization and ensuring financial stability, growth, and accountability across all operations. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment and excels at both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific accounting standards.
- Prepare and review financial reports, variance analyses, and management dashboards.
Regulatory Compliance & Audit- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations related to long-term care financial operations.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Assist with Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and reimbursement documentation.
Budgeting & Forecasting- Lead the annual budgeting process for all facilities and corporate operations.
- Develop financial forecasts and cash-flow projections.
- Partner with operations leadership to analyze performance and guide financial decision-making.
Operational Partnership- Serve as a financial advisor to executive and facility leadership.
- Provide insights to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial controls across the organization.
- Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, or facility integrations as needed.
Team Leadership- Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing direction, training, and performance feedback.
- Develop streamlined processes to improve accuracy and efficiency within the department.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, senior living, or healthcare services strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare reimbursement practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software; advanced Excel skills.
