Are you a licensed CPA with hotel accounting experience looking for a Corporate Controller job in Marlton, NJ? Our privately-held, family-run hospitality and real estate group is hiring a Corporate Controller to lead financial reporting for our growing portfolio of 10+ branded and independent hotels.

This is a high-visibility leadership role based at our corporate headquarters in Marlton, NJ 08053. You will report directly to ownership and oversee all accounting, GAAP compliance, and financial strategy for hotels across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.

What You Will Own as Corporate Controller

Financial Close & Ownership Reporting

Lead the monthly and period-end close for all 10+ properties, closing books by the 8th business day. Prepare and present consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements, and variance analysis in full USALI 11th Revised Edition format. Build monthly ownership reporting packages including KPI dashboards, flow-through analysis, labor and occupancy reporting, and capital expenditure tracking.

GAAP Compliance, Audit & Tax

Ensure 100% compliance with US GAAP and USALI standards. Own balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls, and audit schedules. Manage year-end close, tax package preparation, and coordination with our external CPA firm. Oversee multi-state sales, occupancy, and tourism tax filings for NJ, PA, and DE jurisdictions. Manage all bank covenants, debt schedules, and lender reporting.

Team Leadership & Hotel Operations

Supervise, mentor, and develop 1-2 staff accountants. Review daily work including AP, AR, payroll, and daily revenue audits. Partner directly with General Managers at Marriott, Hilton, and IHG properties on annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, and expense control.

Systems & Analytics

Serve as administrator for hotel accounting software - M3 Accounting, Aptech, ProfitSword, or similar. Drive automation, process improvement, and accounting standardization across the portfolio. Support hotel acquisitions, dispositions, new openings, and CAPEX accounting.

Qualifications for Corporate Controller - CPA Required

Active CPA License - Required

5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in hospitality, multi-entity, or multi-property environment

Expert knowledge of GAAP, consolidated financials, and month-end close for multiple entities

Deep expertise in USALI - 11th Revised Edition - Required

Proven experience with hotel accounting platforms: M3 Accounting, Aptech, ProfitSword, Hotel Investor Apps, ProfitSage

Prior hotel experience with branded hotels: Marriott, Hilton, IHG preferred

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling

Strong communication skills - ability to explain complex financials to non-finance owners and GMs

Compensation, Benefits & Location

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 base, depending on experience

Bonus: 5-10% annual bonus eligibility based on company and individual performance
