Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Contract Specialist II provides cradle-to-grave acquisition and contract management support throughout the federal procurement lifecycle. This position supports acquisition planning, solicitation development, market research, proposal evaluation support, award administration, contract modifications, closeout activities, and procurement documentation. The Contract Specialist II works independently on assigned procurement actions while collaborating with acquisition teams, program offices, legal counsel, small business offices, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality contract execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide full acquisition lifecycle support including acquisition planning, pre-award support, solicitation development, evaluation & award support, post-award contract administration.
  • Create and maintain complete electronic contract files.
  • Organize procurement documentation in accordance with records management requirements.
  • Ensure acquisition files contain all required supporting documentation.
  • Deliver completed procurement files within established timelines.
  • Support audit readiness and file quality reviews.
  • Track procurement workload, action status, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly status reports.
  • Monitor acquisition milestones and identify schedule risks.
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide status updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement actions and accomplishments.
  • Ensure procurement actions comply with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of acquisition policy changes and updates.
  • Ensure procurement documentation is accurate, complete, and professionally prepared.
  • Protect procurement-sensitive, confidential, and non-public information.
  • Comply with records management, information security, and non-disclosure requirements.
  • Perform duties in a manner that avoids inherently governmental functions.

Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 24 semester hours in business related coursework, from an accredited college or university. 2. Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting, FAC-C Professional, (FAC-C)

Required Qualifications:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in cradle-to-grave contracting.
  • Current or previous FAC-C Certification or civilian equivalent is required.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior federal government contracting experience
  • Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people
