Position Description: This position must be based in Montreal. During the first month, the successful candidate is expected to work onsite four to five days per week.
The Contracts & Commercial Management Business Partner works closely with the Subcontractor Contract Management team and managers across various Business Units to coordinate activities related to the effective management of subcontractor contracts.
The role also collaborates with Legal, Finance, Recruitment, and subcontractors, including firms and incorporated individuals.
This is a service-oriented role requiring sound judgment, strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to assess requests rather than simply process them. The successful candidate will work in an environment where priorities, processes, and requirements may evolve.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Participate actively in the end-to-end contracting processes associated with the onboarding, renewal, and departure of subcontractors.
• Review subcontracting requests and related issues, assess relevant considerations, and provide informed recommendations to support their resolution.
• Guide subcontractors through the different stages associated with issuing and renewing their contracts.
• Act as a resource for managers throughout the subcontractor onboarding process, particularly regarding the execution of CGI's standard agreement.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Recruitment, and other stakeholders to address contracting-related requirements and questions.
• Assess incoming requests, identify issues requiring further review, and escalate matters appropriately when needed.
• Manage multiple priorities and requests while applying sound judgment to determine urgency and appropriate next steps.
• Support team members with ad hoc requests and contribute to effective collaboration across the team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of processes and ways of working.
• Perform other related duties as required.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position. The successful candidate will regularly collaborate with colleagues and business stakeholders across Canada in both official languages.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and precisely with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
