As a Cost Controller working in the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in contributing significantly to the management control of our projects. Supporting our work on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you will analyze and develop budgets and best practices as it relates to project opportunities and helping the project teams in making sound financial and business decisions.
What you will do
• Disseminate, explain, and monitor adherence to management methods.
• Maintain constant contact with our Works, Procurement, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate expense allocation.
• Develop and validate budget summaries, ensuring data coherence and accurate assumptions.
• Ensure the reliability of results, focusing on expenses, billing discrepancies, and operational issues.
• Oversee financial reporting, entity overhead costs, and compliance with contracts and risk considerations.
• Provide guidance to the Administrative and Financial Director and Project Management.
• Respond to analyses requests, lead studies, and facilitate training on management systems.
• Supervise clerks responsible for daily information collection and input.
This role could be for you if you have
• Bachelor's degree in management or an engineering-related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position within the construction industry.
• Ability to anticipate and plan priority tasks, good listening skills and synthesis abilities.
