Job Description:Leads the implementation of lean manufacturing principles by designing and implementing process improvement concepts and tools. Develops and monitors key performance indicators for waste reduction and process improvement.
What will my responsibilities include?- Coach manufacturing on set-up-reduction, flow improvements, inventory reduction, and visual control systems.
- Administer 5S floor evaluations / ratings
- Develop and implement 5S process throughout manufacturing. Design and create work stations and standardized tool organization.
- Maintains and enforces the adherence to all company 5S standards
- Builds continuous improvement culture and drives change throughout company. Creates and communicates project status reports providing credibility and visibility for the lean process.
- Prepares, analyzes and presents information on improvement opportunities including each projects financial impact and savings.
- Identify and facilitate key projects that will improve quality, reduce costs, improve cycle time, and provide optimum benefits to customers and business through waste reduction.
- Create, design, schedule and facilitate lean manufacturing training programs. Coordinate and lead company Kaizen events to achieve and maintain continuous incremental improvement. Train employees in the execution of lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Prepare reports and updates to management on continuous improvement projects, results and processes.
- Maintain lean practices and continuous improvement to reduce effort, time, space, cost and mistakes.
- Demonstrate ability to appear for work on time, work overtime when necessary, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, work safely, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive criticism, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.
- Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Preferred:- 3 - 5 years' experience in a manufacturing facility, aerospace or automotive manufacturing preferred.
- Familiar with Lean principles and facilitation of continuous improvement.
- Strong background in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Background in machining, sheet metal, and/or complex assembly techniques

Physical Demands: - Use of computer keyboard and mouse, and multi-line phone.
- Walking, standing, and bending. Lifting 40 lbs occasionally and 25-30 lbs repetitively.
Work Environment: - Office environment.
- Required to enter the machine shop environment at times throughout the workday; this environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and vapor from coolant, etc.
- Possible skin and inhaled contact with various sealants, paints, adhesives, and other chemicals may occur.
- Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
- Safety training is required and provided by the Company in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and Company policy.
Salary Offering: $36.00 per hour to $44.00 per hour
Shift available:Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
