Content Integration Manager
Cooley is seeking a Content Integration Manager to join the Marketing and Client Development team.

Position summary: This role is part of the Integrated Content Marketing Team, which serves as the Firm's Voice, and orchestrates the firm's editorial strategy and messaging framework. Primarily responsible for driving the firm's distribution content efforts by developing targeted campaign messaging, maintaining rigorous editorial standards, and ensuring consistency across all client-facing communications. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position responsibilities:
  • Multi-Channel Copywriting: Lead the development of distribution-ready copy across major campaigns, translating complex editorial themes into targeted email and web copy.
  • Copy Editing Workflow: Own the day-to-day copy editing and proofreading process for both editorial and messaging materials, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Creative Asset Translation: Collaborate with the design and digital teams to ensure web layout and email designs support the natural scannability of the copy.
  • Persona Customization: Adapt baseline messaging drafts into tailored variants for specific target personas (e.g., in-house counsel vs. private equity sponsors).
  • Campaign Delivery Alignment: Partner with the Campaign Strategy team to ensure all distribution assets are written, proofed, and delivered on time for scheduled drops.
  • A/B Copy Testing Execution: Design and execute messaging variations for email subject lines and call-to-action buttons to maximize click-through rates.
  • Copy Matrix Governance: Maintain and update the firm's active messaging matrix for all key products and practice area campaigns.
  • Style Consistency Validation: Check every copy asset against the firm's branding guidelines to ensure unified messaging across all client-facing collateral.
  • Direct Coaching: Review and edit the copy submissions of the Messaging Specialists, providing constructive feedback to improve clarity and conversion.
  • People Leader:
  • Serve as direct supervisor and mentor to direct reports
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of direct reports, ensure compliance with assigned work hours and monitor for compliance with all firm and department policies. Manage staffing coverage, review and process time logs/time off requests
  • Support business professional development and continued educational opportunities
  • In collaboration with immediate supervisor and central HR, participate in hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, termination and other employee lifecycle events
  • All other duties as assigned or required


Skills and experience:

Required:
  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
  • Ability to travel, as required
  • 5+ years applicable experience in the field (e.g., marketing or business development, preferably with an emphasis working in an integrated content function)
  • Prior professional services industry experience and/or B2B marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience writing content for an evolving search landscape (e.g. AEO, GEO)
  • Experience with modern technologies including Digital Asset Management
  • Experience with emerging technologies that increase the efficiency and output of content

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree

The expected annual pay range for this position with a full-time schedule is $120,000 - $175,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
