The successful delivery of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure requires exceptional field leadership, operational discipline, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Construction Managers play a critical role in coordinating personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and resources while ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules and customer expectations.
Position Overview

As a Construction Manager, you will direct field construction activities supporting large-scale hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects. You will provide leadership to Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, subcontractors, and field crews while ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

This role serves as the operational bridge between project management and field execution, coordinating workforce planning, equipment utilization, material availability, subcontractor performance, and project scheduling activities. You will play a key role in maintaining profitability, supporting project execution strategies, and delivering quality results for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead field construction activities across mission-critical and hyperscale infrastructure projects.
• Supervise and assign Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, subcontractors, and field personnel as project requirements dictate.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, company procedures, and project specifications.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources to support efficient project execution.
• Monitor productivity, project progress, and workforce performance while maintaining operational and financial objectives.
• Support project teams in achieving schedule, quality, safety, and profitability goals.

What You'll Do

• Direct construction operations supporting site development, mass grading, wet utilities, dry utilities, fiber infrastructure, ground improvement, structural concrete, power infrastructure, and mission-critical facility construction.
• Partner with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Controls personnel, and field leadership to ensure successful project execution.
• Assist Superintendents and Foremen in planning work activities, assigning crews, coordinating equipment, and optimizing workforce utilization.
• Review production schedules, work-in-progress reporting, labor productivity, and project performance metrics.
• Implement corrective actions when schedule, productivity, quality, or resource concerns arise.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure contractual obligations, quality standards, and schedule commitments are achieved.
• Support material management, equipment planning, procurement coordination, and resource deployment efforts.
• Assist project teams with bid reviews, constructability evaluations, estimating feedback, and operational planning.
• Support development and review of as-built documentation, turnover packages, commissioning activities, and project closeout requirements.
• Conduct field reviews, workforce planning meetings, safety observations, and operational performance evaluations.
• Lead jobsite coordination meetings, field planning sessions, and safety discussions.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, productivity, quality, and operational consistency.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and mentorship to Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, and field personnel.
• Conduct on-the-job training and workforce development activities.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and operational planning sessions.
• Hold team members accountable for safety performance, quality standards, productivity, and professional development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and operational excellence.
• Support succession planning and leadership development efforts within field operations.

What It Takes

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and 5-7 years of relevant construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training required.
• Fully qualified construction professional with demonstrated field leadership experience.
• Experience managing large-scale construction operations within mission-critical, hyperscale data center, EPC, industrial, utility, power, heavy civil, or infrastructure environments.
• Experience supervising Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, workforce planning, equipment utilization, subcontractor management, material coordination, and field productivity.
• Experience reviewing production schedules, labor performance, work-in-progress reporting, daily field reports, and project progress metrics.
• Ability to partner effectively with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimators, Procurement teams, QA/QC personnel, Safety professionals, and executive leadership.
• Experience supporting project pursuits, constructability reviews, estimating activities, and operational planning efforts preferred.
• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, InEight, HCSS, or similar platforms.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel approximately 75% and support long-term onsite project assignments throughout North America as required. Travel may include extended durations based on project assignments and business needs.
