Position Title: Construction Manager II
Department: Project Development
Reports to: Senior Construction Manager
Compensation: Salary starting range $75,000 - $120,000, Commensurate to skills and experience.
Hours: Full-time: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Some travel is expected; an average of 6-8 days per month.

Position DescriptionThe Construction Manager II will collaborate with Dairy Operators and Construction Contractors to prepare job sites, oversee construction activities, ensure efficiency, maintain project timelines, exceed quality expectations, and adhere to engineered plans. Candidates must be experienced in diverse construction practices, processes, equipment, and materials. Excellent communication skills across all media are essential for this team-oriented role. Adaptability, self-motivation, and strong organizational abilities are crucial, as this position involves limited supervision in a rapidly evolving industry.
Responsibilities- Oversee project construction sites, ensuring that construction is designed, prepared and built to satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot issues, delays, and/or conflicts with contractors and engineers.
- Coordinate and schedule construction tasks.
- Effectively communicate via email, text, and phone with the supervisor, team members, contractors, engineers, customers, and business partners.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with various contractors and dairy owners that we work with.
Qualifications & Skills- Two or more years of experience in Construction and Construction Management preferred.
- The ability to read and understand Construction Plans and P&IDs is a plus.
- Analytical thinker and self-starter.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems, and to plan & execute autonomously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient speaking English require.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a motor vehicle (DMV) background check to qualify for use of a company vehicle.
- Basic computing and Microsoft office skills required.

Physical Demands RequirementsWork Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and on active construction sites. Office work routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Site work involves outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, etc. Noise level may be loud at times and the role works around moving mechanical or construction equipment.
Physical Demands
This role combines sedentary office work with regular travel and site visits. Must be able to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes; walk active construction sites on uneven terrain; and occasionally move objects of at least 50 lbs. Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina are required.
