Qualifications

• 7+ years in construction management or field supervision for high-voltage substations/switchyards.
• Expertise in substation construction methods for voltage classes (69 kV-500 kV preferred).
• Strong grasp of construction safety norms for energized work and switching.
• Skilled in managing projects including schedule, budget, and subcontractor performance.
• Ability to read and interpret various substation drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with project scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain) required.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel/relocate for projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily construction operations for substation and switchyard projects.
• Promote a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance with safety plans and standards.
• Develop and maintain the construction schedule, manage critical path activities.
• Oversee project budgets, track costs, and manage change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with project standards.
• Manage outages and energization sequences with utility operations.
• Ensure quality assurance in the field and verify compliance with design and codes.
• Provide constructability insights during design and pre-construction phases.
• Supervise materials and equipment management on-site.
• Conduct project meetings and report on metrics to stakeholders.
• Facilitate commissioning, punch list, and project closeout activities.
