The ideal candidate will have knowledge of or be willing to learn:
Construction administration for municipal and site civil projects, including the change order process, contractor applications for payment, and project closeout procedures.
Review and approval of shop drawings, and evaluation of product and material substitutions for compliance with the contract documents.
Interpretation of contract documents, plans, and specifications.
Site observations and reporting, including verifying that work progress complies with the plans and specifications.
Inspection and testing of materials delivered and installed, and confirming work quality meets compliance standards and specifications.
Municipal engineering support, including bid documentation, specifications, cost estimation, and constructability review.
Regulatory compliance for municipal and site civil projects, and grant writing support.
Constructability and cost estimation for site civil design.
