FanDuel is looking for an Associate of Communications to help bring FanDuel Canada's story to life. In this role, you'll support the development and execution of strategic communications across key business priorities, with a strong focus on internal communications, Responsible Gaming, and Community Impact initiatives. You'll partner with teams across the business to develop compelling content, engage employees, and support corporate storytelling. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships across teams, and is passionate about creating communications that inform, inspire, and make an impact.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Support the development and execution of communications and public affairs strategies for FanDuel Canada's marketing, Responsible Gaming, and Community Impact initiatives.
  • Manage internal communications partnerships and work closely with department leaders to support company town halls, leadership communications, speeches, and talking points.
  • Draft and edit a variety of communications materials, including internal announcements, newsletters, presentations, FAQs, messaging documents, briefing notes, and other communications content.
  • Lead the planning of internal communications that keep FanDuel Canada employees informed, engaged, and connected to business priorities, including employee engagement initiatives and day-to-day communications.
  • Partner closely with Brand, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Responsible Gaming, Government Relations, and Commercial teams to develop compelling internal and external narratives.
  • Identify opportunities to amplify Responsible Gaming and Community Impact initiatives through owned, earned, and internal communications channels.
  • Support Responsible Gaming and Community Impact partnerships, helping coordinate communications, cultivate stakeholder relationships, and promote key initiatives.
  • Support and lead day-to-day media relations, including managing media inquiries, coordinating interview requests, and assisting with proactive media opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and media coverage, providing timely updates and recommendations to inform communications strategies.

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience
  • Proven working experience in communications required
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Existing media relationships and proven experience working with press required
  • Working experience in Community Impact, Responsible Gaming, Government Affairs or Corporate Social Responsibility considered an asset
  • Understands and customizes communications for different audience, using multiple channels and mediums

The applicable salary range for this position is $74,000 - $92,000 CAD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: extended medical, vision, and dental coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; a retirement program with employer contributions; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.
