Missions/Main Duties

As a Commercial Specialist, you will support the commercial and contractual management of engineering projects within a multidisciplinary environment. You will work closely with the Project Commercial Director to help ensure contracts are properly administered and that contractual obligations, deadlines, and deliverables are met.

 

In this role, you will manage and monitor engineering contracts, coordinate contract amendments, and prepare contractual communications such as letters, notices, emails, and memos. You will review project correspondence to ensure alignment with contract terms and engineering obligations, and support the documentation and implementation of actions related to changes, including requests for compensation and schedule extensions.

 

You will also contribute to the improvement of contract management processes, collaborate regularly with Legal Affairs and the Risk and Insurance team, and support the resolution of potential disputes. In addition, you will contribute to negotiation strategies, participate in negotiations when required, review estimates prepared by technical teams, and help maintain strong client relationships.

Profile/Skills

You are a versatile, proactive, and detail-oriented professional with strong experience in contract or change management. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

 

You will be a strong fit for this role if you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law or other relevant experience. Studies in Administration or Engineering are considered an asset.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in contract management or change management.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects is an asset.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a high volume of files.
• Strong analytical skills and a rigorous, meticulous approach.
• High level of autonomy, initiative, and discretion.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English.*
