Overview

As the Commercial Marketing Manager, Architecture & Design Market Development, you will lead the marketing development strategy for Lutron's commercial shading portfolio while helping bring future growth categories and emerging innovations to market. You will develop integrated marketing strategies that create awareness, influence specification, accelerate adoption, and build long-term preference across North America's commercial building industry.

A key focus of this role will be deepening Lutron's engagement within the architecture and design community, understanding how architects and designers evaluate, specify, and advocate for solutions, and developing strategies that strengthen Lutron's position as a preferred partner across North America. Beyond the architecture and design community, you will identify and engage the broader network of influencers who shape commercial project decisions, helping accelerate adoption across the entire customer journey.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence how architects, designers, and other key commercial building stakeholders discover, evaluate, specify, and adopt Lutron solutions. Working closely with Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Insights, Experience Centers, and Business teams, you will shape how customers understand, evaluate, specify, and adopt both established solutions and emerging innovations.

This role is ideal for a strategic marketer who enjoys influencing markets, shaping customer behavior, launching innovations, and driving growth within complex commercial ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing strategy and growth initiatives for Lutron's commercial shading portfolio and future growth categories.
  • Deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, PR, events, partnerships, content and sales enablement that drive awareness, specification, adoption, and growth.
  • Champion the architecture and design community, translating insights into marketing programs that drive awareness, strengthen industry engagement, influence specification and build long-term brand preference.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to launch new products and accelerate market adoption.
  • Develop positioning, messaging, and thought leadership that differentiate and strengthen Lutron in existing and new categories.
  • Apply customer and market insights to identify opportunities and optimize marketing performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external teams to align strategies and execute successfully.
  • Measure and optimize business impact through commercial metrics and KPIs.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, product marketing, market development, or related disciplines.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns for complex B2B products or solutions.
  • Strong understanding of specification-driven commercial markets and complex buying ecosystems.
  • Experience engaging and influencing architects, designers, and other specification audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop customer segmentation, positioning, messaging, and value proposition strategies.
  • Experience leveraging customer, market, and competitive insights to inform marketing strategy and business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across organizations and lead through collaboration.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, communication, and storytelling capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing strategic thinking with execution.
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.

Preferred:
  • Experience marketing commercial lighting, shading, controls, or other specification-driven solutions.
