Commercial CounselNew York City, NYHybrid Schedule (M/F remote, T/W/TH in-office)In this role you will: - Lead and support contract negotiations with strategic partners on complex commercial and technology matters
- Structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on a variety of technology and commercial agreements, including terms governing our advertising technology solutions, platform vendor and data agreements and other technology agreements
- Work closely with internal clients across the business to provide legal support, proactively identify issues, and share potential concerns and solutions in supporting commercialization of our products and services
- Provide legal support for the company's privacy, data, and security initiatives as they relate to technology and commercial agreements
- Help to improve contracting processes and management, including developing internal policies regarding the same
- Drive and support other special projects, including in connection with company policies and marketing
We're looking for someone with: - 6+ years practicing in a top law firm and/or in-house legal department with relevant transactional experience
- Prior technology, digital advertising, data/privacy, and/or intellectual property experience
- Excellent business judgment and the ability to assess legal risk while also thinking strategically and providing sound, practical advice under tight deadlines
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a highly collaborative team, with proven ability to multitask and set priorities
- Self-motivation, adaptability, a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly
- A business-oriented mindset and creative approach to problem solving
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to make decisions and interact with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Interest in working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A license to practice law in California or New York (member of the bar or Registered In-House Counsel)
In New York, the base salary range for this role is $185,000 - $215,000.
Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.
