Commercial Analyst
ABOUTTHE ROLE
We are looking for an analyticaland commercially minded finance professional to join our North America Commercial Finance team. In this role, you will support business performancethrough financial analysis, customer rebate management, forecasting, month-end processes, and reporting - partneringclosely with Sales, Operations, Accounts Receivable, and Accounting. Given our globalfootprint, flexibility to collaborate across regions and time zones is required.
KEYRESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Rebates & Commercial Terms
Manage customer rebates andallowances in company systems, ensuring accurate accruals, accounting (includesmaintaining detailed reconciliations), and claims processing. Partner withSales and Accounts Receivable to support the review and maintenance of customertrading agreements and to ensure appropriate accrual of marketing andpromotional investments.
Financial Analysis
Provide financial analysis andcommercial insights to support decision-making. Analyze product, brand,category, and customer profitability; evaluate trade spend and promotional ROI;and identify business risks and opportunities.
Financial Reporting & Month-End
Support month-end closeactivities including accruals, reclasses, account reconciliations, and GL toreporting system data validation. Prepare monthly management reports,investigate variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods, andsynthesize financial data across multiple business units.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in annual budget andmonthly forecast preparation. Manage high-volume data files loaded intoplanning systems, dollarize demand forecasts, and contribute to continuousimprovement of forecasting and reporting processes.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting,Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
-Working knowledge of core accountingconcepts (debits/credits, P&L and balance sheet relationship)
-Advanced Excel and financial modelingskills
-Experience working with large datasetsand BI/reporting tools
-Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills with high attention to detail
-Clear written and verbal communicationskills
-Ability to build relationships andinfluence across business functions
-Self-motivated, with the ability tomanage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
-Experience in consumer goods,wholesale distribution, or retail
-Familiarity with ERP systems andbusiness intelligence tools
-Demonstrated ability to translatefinancial data into actionable insights
-Experience with AI tools (e.g.,Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT)
