  • Current Georgia medical license and DEA registration in good standing, or eligibility to obtain.
  • At least 2 years of post-training experience treating ages 12 and older.
  • Experienced in leadership roles and administrative tasks, including participation in leadership meetings. Supervision of NPs is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct admission evaluations and develop treatment plans for child and adolescent patients.
  • Provide ongoing treatment follow-up in both Inpatient Adult and Inpatient Adolescent units.
  • Participate in daily treatment team meetings for collaborative care.
  • Complete required patient documentation according to facility guidelines.
  • Engage in administrative duties and attend leadership meetings; supervise Nurse Practitioners.

Position Title: Chief Medical Officer (Board Certified General or Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist)

Location: Beautiful Augusta, GA

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, located in Augusta, Georgia, provides mental health services to ages 12 and older.

All programs are provided by a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, psychiatrists, and activity coordinators. We also maintain an onsite school that is approved by the Georgia Department of Education and fully accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.

Position Overview:

Role: Full-time Chief Medical Officer Psychiatrist position

Patient Population: Primary daily caseload will be Inpatient Adult unit and Inpatient Adolescent unit, with minimal RTC with NP assistance.

Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday day hours

Weekend/weekday Coverage: Shared weeknight and weekend call

Employment Type: W2 employed

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
  • Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience post training. Willing and experienced treating ages 12 and older.
  • Leadership: Experience and comfort in participating in leadership meetings and administrative duties up to 20 hours per month. Supervision of NPs is required.
