You Are:AWS Security professionals design and deliver solutions that protect cloud infrastructure, applications, identities, and data across Amazon Web Services environments. They establish cloud security architecture, governance, controls, and operational practices that reduce risk and prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or disruption. A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Provides solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and extensive experience with AWS security strategy, architecture, implementation, and operations. Defines near-term goals and strategic direction for secure AWS adoption, including identity and access management, network security, data protection, logging and monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, cloud governance, and regulatory compliance. Interacts with senior client and Accenture leadership, influences significant decisions, and determines objectives and approaches for critical assignments.
The Work (Key Responsibilities):- Lead the design and delivery of AWS security strategy, architecture, implementation, and operations engagements for clients
- Assess AWS environments and develop security roadmaps aligned with business objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements
- Design secure AWS landing zones and multi-account environments using services such as AWS Organizations, AWS Control Tower, and AWS Security Hub
- Define and implement identity and access management controls using AWS IAM, IAM Identity Center, permission boundaries, service control policies, and least-privilege principles
- Design AWS network security architectures using Amazon VPC, security groups, network ACLs, AWS Network Firewall, AWS WAF, and connectivity services
- Develop data protection solutions using AWS KMS, AWS CloudHSM, encryption, secrets management, data classification, and secure key-management practices
- Establish cloud security monitoring, logging, threat detection, and incident response capabilities using services such as AWS CloudTrail, Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Detective, AWS Config, and Amazon CloudWatch
- Lead cloud security posture management, vulnerability management, and remediation activities across AWS workloads
- Translate AWS security risks and technical requirements into clear business recommendations for executive stakeholders
- Interpret and map AWS security controls to applicable legal, regulatory, and industry frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Lead client workshops, security assessments, architecture reviews, and executive presentations
- Drive business development, proposal creation, solution shaping, and client relationship activities for AWS Security opportunities
- Coach and develop junior cloud security practitioners while contributing reusable assets, methods, and thought leadership
- Deliver services in accordance with Accenture quality standards and proactively collaborate across client and internal teams
Here's What You Need (Basic Qualifications)- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, or operating security controls in AWS environments
- Minimum 7 years of experience with AWS identity and access management, including IAM roles and policies, federation, least privilege, and multi-account governance
- Minimum 7 years of experience with AWS network security, including Amazon VPC, security groups, network ACLs, AWS WAF, or AWS Network Firewall
- Minimum 7 years of experience with AWS security monitoring and threat detection services, such as AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, AWS Security Hub, Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Detective, or Amazon CloudWatch
- Experience securing AWS data and workloads through encryption, key management, secrets management, vulnerability management, and secure configuration practices
- Experience assessing AWS architectures against cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements, such as the AWS Well-Architected Framework, CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark, NIST, or ISO 27001
- Minimum 7 years of experience leading cloud security projects using standardized project management principles
- Minimum 7 years of experience producing technical documentation, security assessment reports, architecture designs, and executive-level recommendations
- Minimum 7 years of experience leading teams of five or more resources and collaborating with multiple technology vendors
- Ability to communicate complex AWS security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence senior client leadership
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
- Travel may be required for this role based on business needs and client requirements
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Skills):- Experience in IT Security Testing (e.g., penetration testing, web application security assessments, vulnerability assessments and technical security assessments
- Experience in Identity and Access Management
- Experience in Infrastructure & Cloud Security (virtualized environments a plus)
- Experience with application development
