Full Job Description
Provide strong process support and clinical expertise in collaboration with the facility's Director of Nursing. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility

Must be located in Northern California.

Salary: $180k + DOE

POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Resource Nurse will be responsible for providing expertise and assistance to their region regarding clinical practices in accordance with current federal, state, and local guidelines that govern the facility and as directed by management. This individual will be adept and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. They will communicate effectively with all levels of staff. They will show commitment to always doing the right thing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Traveling to multiple sites providing support to DONs and Administrators as required
  • Ensuring that all facility clinical required procedures are being followed
  • Training nursing staff regarding required clinical practices for successful resident outcomes
  • Keeping updated on nursing regulations as they impact resident care
  • Assisting facilities with surveys, inspections and other mandated requirements
  • Following infection control policies and other facility regulated requirements
  • Attending meetings

REQUIREMENTS

Education / Licensure
  • Completion of RN training from accredited school or college
  • Valid RN license in good standing
  • Valid CPR and BLS card

Qualifications / Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing in skilled care facility
  • Must have more than 5 years of nursing experience preferably in skilled care setting
  • Must have supervisory experience
  • Must be adept at reading and interpreting legislation; clinical reports, other data as required
  • Must be able to communicate proficiently speaking, presenting, and writing
  • Experience with Point Click Care is a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Repetitive hand motion (writing, typing, taking notes, and talking on the phone)
  • Must be able to walk, sit, and stand intermittently throughout the day
  • May be prolonged periods of sitting
  • Ability to read on computer or laptop
