Job Summary
The Center for Pain Management is a fast-paced procedural area, treating many different types of patients who are experiencing pain. Typical conditions include acute/chronic back/neck/joint pain, spinal stenosis, failed back syndrome, chronic regional pain syndrome, cancer pain, neuropathy and myofascial pain. This is a specialized role: nursing care includes developing pain management plans, administering pain relief medications, and assisting with exams. Nurses collaborate with providers, pharmacists, physical therapists to ensure a comprehensive approach to pain management tailored to each patient's needs. Nurses also provide education to patients and their families about pain management strategies and the safe use of medications.
Requirements: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Current licensure by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Pain Clinic setting experience preferred. Prior authorization experience preferred. BLS.
Wage
Depending on your work experience, you could earn a wage from $38.66 to $56.05 per hour.
