Novant Health is seeking a
Clinical Pharmacist Generalist to join our acute care team at Presbyterian Medical Center. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered pharmaceutical care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

What You'll DoEssential functions include:
- Will need to be able and willing to cross cover in adult areas as needed, in an acute care capacity
- Facilitates pharmaceutical care services, medication utilization systems within assigned services and care areas to ensure drug utilization activities are aligned with patient care needs, evidence- based best practices and regulatory standards
- Completes critical patient monitoring and reviews patient profile/ chart to identify, prevent, or mitigate drug- related problems,
- Partners as an active member of multidisciplinary team and collaborates with healthcare providers within decentralized patient care areas to provide patient- centered care
- Makes appropriate evidence-based, patient- centered medication recommendations
- Participates in the management of medical emergencies
- Provides discharge medication review, reconciliation, and counseling as appropriate
- Maintains proficiency in and actively engages in central dispensing functions and operational programs
- Oversees pharmacy operations and technician practice/activities
- Maintains proficiency in preceptor roles and actively emulates education/ mentorship skills
What We're Looking For- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification, required. PharmD, preferred.
- Experience:
- Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy. Oncology experience preferred for oncology roles, required.
- For Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship roles: ASHP - accredited PGY2 Infectious Disease residency OR minimum of 2 years of equivalent clinical pharmacy experience in infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship, required.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
