The Clinical Education Manager leads, develops, and coaches a team of field-based ACEs while partnering closely with Regional Sales Leadership, Account Managers, Health System Clinical Specialists, Corporate Account Executives, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align clinical education with commercial priorities.
As part of a national Clinical Education leadership team, the Clinical Education Manager works collaboratively with peer Clinical Education Managers and Health System Clinical Specialists to ensure consistent strategy, resource allocation, and execution across geographic and organizational boundaries.
What are the key responsibilities?
• Lead, coach, develop, and manage the performance of Aerogen Clinical Educators (ACEs) within the assigned geography, including hiring, onboarding, field coaching, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
• Develop and execute regional Clinical Education strategy aligned with commercial priorities, ensuring ACE resources are deployed to the accounts and opportunities where clinical education can have the greatest impact.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Account Managers (AMs) to align Clinical Education priorities, account strategies, resource allocation, and execution.
• Establish expectations for strategic account planning, clinical education quality, customer engagement, implementation support, follow-up, and expansion within the ACE team.
• Coach ACEs in developing account-specific education strategies based on customer needs, stakeholder mapping, barriers to adoption, and opportunities for utilization and expansion.
• Monitor ACE capacity, geographic coverage, travel, and account activity to actively prioritize Clinical Education resources across the assigned region.
• Partner with Health System Clinical Specialists to support enterprise-level IDN strategies, ensuring regional ACE activity and facility-level execution align with the broader health system clinical education strategy.
• Coordinate ACE resources with Health System Clinical Specialists for system-wide implementations and complex multi-site initiatives, including cross-regional support when needed.
• Collaborate with peer Clinical Education Managers to ensure consistency of strategy, execution, expectations, and customer experience across regions and to coordinate resources for initiatives that cross geographic boundaries.
• Support Regional Sales Teams in achieving clinical business objectives through strategic education, implementation support, therapy expansion, and development of clinical champions within priority accounts.
• Establish and monitor Clinical Education KPIs, quality metrics, account outcomes, and adoption milestones; use data to evaluate impact, coach performance, and inform resource allocation.
• Partner with Clinical Education leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement tools, programs, and scalable education strategies that support commercial objectives.
• Maintain strong field visibility through customer engagement, ACE ride-alongs, implementations, and other strategic field activities to understand regional needs and provide active coaching.
• Identify emerging clinical, customer, and business needs and communicate insights and best practices across the Clinical Education organization.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clinical stakeholders, thought leaders, and professional organizations as appropriate to support Clinical Education and business objectives.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
