Overview

About the Role

The primary purpose of the Clinical Audiologist is to be responsible for the full time delivery of clinical audiological services, including screening and diagnostic assessments of hearing and balance, rehabilitative and counseling activities as well as teaching responsibilities inherent in the hospital setting. The Clinical Audiologist will evaluate referred patients to implement and administer a comprehensive therapeutic intervention.

What You'll Do
  • Manages, administers and continues development of a specialty area of audiology (i.e. Electronystagmography (ENG/VNG)/BAHA/CI).
  • Performs newborn hearing screening (in-patient)
  • Documents the results of evaluation and treatment accurately and timely as per department policy
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with physicians, nurses, physician's assistant, and social workers in a multidisciplinary health care team
  • Schedules appointments in Audiology Service using Epic/Cadence Appointment system
  • Participates in staff development and education activities and unit/hospital committees and meetings.
  • Readily accepts related duties as assigned with a positive outlook and pleasant manner 100% of the time by observationof Lead Clinical Audiologist or designee.


What You'll Bring

Required:
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Audiology required from an accredited program in Audiology
  • Certificate in Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association required
  • Licensed in the State of New Jersey as verified by the Board of Consumer Affairs - License must be maintained in good standing
  • Must meet licensure CEU requirements
  • Must be CPR certified or complete certification within six (6) months of employment
  • Must be computer proficient

Preferred:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese or American Sign Language) is helpful but not required.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is XH/99H: $ 55.00 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
