Overview:
Quinnipiac University's School of Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time, open-rank, Clinical Assistant Professor & Clinical Director of Radiologic Science at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. This is a 12-month, year-round appointment that provides leadership and oversight of the clinical education component of the program, ensuring high-quality students' clinical experiences, establishing, and maintaining strong clinical partnerships, student achievement of clinical competencies, and ongoing compliance with accreditation standards. Responsibilities:
- Support mission, vision, core values, and strategic plans of Quinnipiac University, and the School of Health Sciences.
- Coordinate the clinical education component of the Radiologic Sciences Program in collaboration with the Program Director, and in compliance with JRCERT accreditation requirements.
- Ensure integration of clinical education with didactic and laboratory instruction.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education policies, procedures, competencies, and assessment processes.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the program and clinical education sites.
- Coordinate student clinical assignments, rotations, and scheduling.
- Conduct clinical site visits and evaluate educational quality.
- Monitor student clinical performance, competency attainment, and professional behaviors.
- Maintain accurate clinical education records and competency documentation.
- Assist with clinical instructor orientation, training, and evaluation.
- Support JRCERT accreditation activities and outcomes assessment.
- Teach assigned didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical courses.
- Support student success, retention, and on-time graduation through participation in advising, recruitment, retention, service, department, school and institutional events.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science or related field from an accredited institution.
- Current ARRT certification and registration in Radiography.
- Eligibility for Connecticut licensure.
- Minimum of two years of full-time clinical radiography experience.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program or equivalent clinical instruction experience.
- Knowledge of clinical education, competency-based assessment, and accreditation standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in TED field from an accredited institution
- Prior experience as a Clinical Coordinator or Director of Clinical Education
- ARRT post-primary credential(s)
- Experience with JRCERT accreditation and outcomes assessment
- Experience with distance, hybrid, or alternative instructional modalities
