Title: Clinic Lead, Maternal Child & Family Health
Salary: $99,899 - $117,528 - $135,158 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Port Hardy, BC, located on the ancestral territories of the Kwakiutl, Quatsino and Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw Nations - Onsite - Travel across the Vancouver Island Region is required.
About the role
As Clinic Lead, Maternal Child & Family Health, you will play a vital leadership role within an innovative and expanding team-based care environment, focused on delivering culturally safe, community-centered care for First Nations individuals and their families. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of clinic services, providing guidance to non-physician and non-nurse practitioner care providers. With a strong commitment to holistic wellness, you will help integrate both Western and traditional approaches to care, including mental health and substance use supports. As services continue to grow, you will bring creative, relational, and forward-thinking leadership to a dynamic clinical and operational team-helping shape the future of accessible, culturally grounded primary care.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be -
Education and Occupational Certifications
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in regulated health profession such as Public Administration, Social Work, Nursing or related discipline.
• Current practicing registration in good standing with a British Columbia regulating body.
Experience
• 6-8 years experience in working in a primary care setting
• Experience working with First Nations people and communities
• Strong skillset in providing cultural safety and trauma informed care
• Experience in mental health, substance use, and opioid crisis response.is an asset
• Experience in financial and human resource management is an asset
• Experience working with Electronic Medical Records and encounter coding system for patient medical reporting
Knowledge
• Sound ability to practice using culturally safe and trauma-informed approaches
• Familiarity with the Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (BC), the recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the "In Plain Sight" report, the national inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and the impacts of these on health, health care and health care design for Indigenous people.
• Familiarity with Traditional Healing practices, customs, values and traditions of local First Nations
• Ability to apply a two-eyed seeing approach to balance western and Traditional Indigenous worldviews in practice
• Knowledge of relevant socio-historical events relevant to First Nations in Canada

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
