CDM Smith has an exciting opportunity for a Client Service Leader to expand water, wastewater, and environmental services business development across southeastern Michigan. CDM Smith has been providing a wide array of services to Michigan clients for over 40 years, including delivering some of the largest water and wastewater projects for major clients throughout the state. We are looking for someone who can lead business development opportunities in collaboration with our growing team of local and national project managers, technical experts, and marketing professionals.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: • Developing new business and maintaining high-value relationships with water/wastewater/environmental clients in Michigan. • Creating client engagement strategies and pursuit plans for multiple clients. • Coordinating with senior regional and national leadership to identify opportunities to expand CDM Smith's delivery of strategic service offerings, including planning, construction, implementation, and alternative delivery. • Developing & managing proposal efforts, business strategies and presentations and leading contract negotiations. • Working effectively with project managers, technical specialists and delivery teams as a leader in our delivery of quality projects to our clients. • Leading select projects within his/her technical area of expertise. • Being active in professional societies.
Skills & Abilities

Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. • Professional engineering (PE) license. • 15 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience winning/managing projects in the Michigan municipal water market. • Strong client relationships with water clients in the Michigan market. • 15+ years of experience with municipal water/wastewater projects in the Michigan market.
Amount of Travel Required

20% - 40%
Pay Range Min

USD $127,878.00
Pay Range Max

USD $236,558.00
Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
