CDM Smith currently has a new opportunity for a Client Service Leader to lead business development efforts for our transportation planning practice in Arizona. This position oversees our business development activities, manages overall client service, represents CDM Smith on transportation-related boards or organizations, and serves as a leader in the office and throughout the organization. CDM Smith has been providing transportation services to our clients for over 50 years. Our transportation services have spanned the areas of; transportation planning, design, traffic engineering, transit, feasibility studies, NEPA, aviation, and CE&I projects.

As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
  • Developing new business and maintaining high-value relationships with key districts and divisions of ADOT and other local/regional clients for transportation planning and related services where you see opportunity.
  • Developing and managing client teams that include project managers, technical specialists, national leaders, as well as junior staff to develop strategic capture plans, proposal efforts, presentations, and other efforts of business development.
  • Serving as a key member of our strategy team promoting growth in Arizona as well as supporting other West US growth initiatives.
  • Serving as a technical or project lead as needed or appropriate on projects of significant size and strategic importance.
  • Being active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members. • Being a strong leader internally and externally.

Skills & Abilities

  • Expert knowledge of corporate governance practices, organization design principles, accounting principles, finance, supply chain management, and organization management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand highly complex technical, professional and business materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 12 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in transportation planning/engineering business development in the state of Arizona with public clients such as ADOT and MPO/county/municipal agencies. Aviation experience a plus.
  • PE, PTOE, AICP and/or other transportation-related certifications.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and team building skills.

Pay Range Min

USD $115,211.00
Pay Range Max

USD $201,635.00
Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
