Client Manager
Synopsis
The Client Manager is a key role responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving project success. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, business development skills, and leadership abilities to manage client expectations, coordinate internal teams, and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Facilitate regular client meetings to review project progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with client goals.
- Resolve client issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive and productive client experience.
- Define, document, and communicate client standards to internal teams to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
Project Oversight
- Lead project teams to deliver quality projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
- Oversee and manage project details, including scope, schedules, and budgets, ensuring profitability and successful outcomes.
- Monitor and achieve KPIs related to client satisfaction, revenue targets, and project timelines.
- Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, design, and project coordination, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Identify and communicate scope changes, ensuring proper documentation and billing.
Financial Management
- Proactively manage project budgets to ensure profitability while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Create proposals that align with company profitability standards, validating estimated hours and schedules before project initiation.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services with existing clients to drive additional revenue.
Business Development
- Actively seek opportunities to grow relationships with existing clients and develop new client partnerships.
- Support company growth by contributing to business development initiatives and identifying new market opportunities.
- Represent Fieldstone A&E at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to enhance brand recognition.
Leadership and Mentorship
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise, providing feedback, and supporting their professional growth.
- Lead by example, setting a high standard for client management excellence and collaboration.
- Actively participate in professional development reviews for junior team members and provide constructive feedback to foster improvement.
Innovation and Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to bring innovative solutions to clients and internal teams.
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client presentations and public speaking.
- Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and ensure profitability.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control practices in architecture
and engineering.
Required Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in production home building, project management, or a related field.
