Role Purpose

Corning is looking for a Cleaning and Packaging Team Leader in Hemlock, MI to provide front-line leadership for shift operations across cleaning and packaging production. This role is responsible for directing production teams, managing resources, and building the culture of process discipline and continuous improvement that drives consistent results across safety, quality, and throughput goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shift operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and environmental goals; manage people, materials, and equipment to optimize throughput
  • Balance production activities with validation runs, equipment upgrades, process improvements, and maintenance to meet plant objectives
  • Build and sustain a culture of process discipline, safety, and continuous improvement across the cleaning and packaging team
  • Develop and execute staffing, onboarding, and training plans to build a flexible, high-performing production workforce
  • Track and report production metrics; conduct performance reviews and deliver timely feedback and recognition


Work Hours

  • Ability to work a 2-3-2 rotating schedule, transitioning from days to nights and from nights to days every two weeks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet business needs, including weekend and evening support, as well as occasional coverage for 12-hour rotating shift supervisor assignments.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional, academic, or community setting.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Experience coordinating activities across functional areas and partnering with support groups to deliver results.
  • Ability to effectively coach, mentor, and lead subordinates, providing clear direction and establishing expectations.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with early-stage manufacturing and new product delivery.
  • FDA regulations and cGMP.

The range for this position is $74,120.00 - $101,915.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
