Project Manager

The Role

Stratus recently partnered with PVEDI and is seeking a Project Manager with a strong focus on civil site and land development projects. This role leads projects from due diligence and conceptual planning through design, permitting, bidding, and construction support, with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction. The Project Manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, oversee site design deliverables, and guide projects to successful completion in alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects from initial concept development through construction completion, ensuring that project goals, timelines, and budgets are met
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, ensuring that all project activities are aligned with client and business objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, managing expectations and addressing concerns
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure the seamless integration of civil or mechanical systems into the overall project design
  • Oversee the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards and client requirements
  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, identify risks, and develop strategies to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with technical requirements
  • Manage project financials, tracking expenses, approving invoices, and ensuring that the project


remains profitable

  • Manage project resources to deliver projects on schedule, efficiently, and with quality.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and business development teams to pursue new project opportunities and contribute to proposal writing and client presentations
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory
  • requirements, managing the permitting process as needed
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and project managers, providing guidance on project
  • management best practices and technical solutions
  • Ensure proper project closeout activities, including punch list resolution, final inspections, and post occupancy evaluations
  • Drive business development efforts, assisting with proposals, client meetings, and


presentations to secure new business opportunities

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or landscape architecture from ABET-accredited university or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in Civil,. Site, and Land Development design engineering or project management for similar projects.


Preferred

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or Registered Landscape Architect (PLA).
  • PMP certification or other relevant project management training
