We have an immediate, critical opportunity for a Civil PE to join our firm and lead our water and sanitation infrastructure initiatives. This is a high-impact role for an engineer with a proven track record in municipal utility design, specifically pump stations, sanitary lift stations, and water storage systems. We are looking for a technical expert who can spearhead design projects for municipal and rural areas, providing precise engineering solutions.
Annual Base Salary: $86,000 - $102,000

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Utility Infrastructure Design: Lead the design of water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and onsite wastewater treatment facilities for residential, industrial, and commercial developments.
• Hydraulic Modeling: Perform advanced hydraulic analysis for water age, pressure, and fire flow, as well as gravity sewer capacity modeling.
• Pump Station Engineering: Design and specify lift stations, booster pump stations, and associated mechanical/electrical components.
• Regulatory & Environmental Liaison: Lead the permitting process with state environmental agencies (e.g., DEQ, EPA, or DNR) and local utility districts to secure construction and operating permits.
• Site Development Integration: Work closely with the grading and drainage teams to ensure utility layouts are optimized for the overall site plan and earthwork constraints.
• Client & Agency Representation: Act as the primary technical point of contact for utility providers and municipal stakeholders during project reviews and public meetings.
• Mentorship: Supervise and review the work of EITs and designers, specifically focusing on utility profiles, pipe stress analysis, and specifications.
Technical Expertise Required
• Hydraulic Calculations: Proficiency in calculating head loss, NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head), and peak hourly demands.
• Master Planning: Experience creating Utility Master Plans for large-scale developments (100+ acres).
• Sustainability: Integration of water reuse systems or low-impact development (LID) utility solutions where applicable.
Qualifications
• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience: 5-10 years in Civil Engineering, with at least 4 years focused specifically on water/wastewater design within land development.
• Software Proficiency: Mastery ofAutoCAD Civil 3D (specifically Pressure Pipe and Gravity Pipe networks). Experience with WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, or EPAnet is highly preferred.
• Education: B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
