Full Job Description
Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Greenwich Hospital seeks to recruit a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our adolescent psychiatry team. Located at our Greenwich Office (500 West Putnam Avenue), the psychiatrist will provide medication management for adolescents engaged in the department's intensive outpatient program (IOP) and for adolescents and young adults seeking pharmacotherapy.

The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with an APRN on site and the treatment team to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients. What sets this role apart is the opportunity to work side-by-side with other staff on an interdisciplinary team, follow patients across IOP and outpatient settings, and provide clinical care on a team that is embedded within a larger department of psychiatry and behavioral health. This is an ideal role for a psychiatrist who enjoys structured program work, values real-time collaboration, and wants the satisfaction of building ongoing therapeutic relationships in outpatient care. Responsibilities will include:
• Providing triage, initial assessments, and management of patients and their family needs throughout the treatment process as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Working in collaboration with the APRN and LCSWs as part of the treatment team.
• Participating in team-based case conferences, treatment planning, and coordinating discharge planning.

Qualifications

The successful candidates will have completed a residency in psychiatry leading to board eligibility or board certification and will have also completed a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship in addition to being licensed within the State of Connecticut.
