Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of enterprise technology across a complex, multi-site healthcare system.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the SVP & Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIDO), the
Chief Technology Officer is a key member of the senior digital leadership team and will play a pivotal role in advancing digital transformation. This leader will ensure that all technology platforms-including clinical systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital innovation-are aligned to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities-Strategic Technology Leadership- Define and execute the enterprise technology vision aligned with organizational and digital strategy
- Partner with executive leadership (CIDO, CMIO, CNO, CFO, and others) to drive system-wide digital transformation
- Advise senior leadership and the Board on emerging technologies, risks, and opportunities
Infrastructure & Platform Excellence- Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud strategy, network architecture, and system reliability
- Ensure high availability and performance of enterprise systems, including the Oracle Health EHR
- Build scalable, resilient, and cost-effective technology environments
Cybersecurity & Risk Management- Lead enterprise cybersecurity strategy, including risk management and incident response
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, CMS)
- Implement strong data governance, privacy, and security frameworks
Data, Analytics & AI Enablement- Oversee enterprise data architecture, interoperability, and analytics capabilities
- Enable real-time data access to support clinical and operational decision-making
- Partner with data and AI leadership to advance innovation and AI-enabled capabilities
Operational & Financial Leadership- Establish departmental vision, goals, standards, and performance metrics
- Lead budgeting, capital planning, and cost optimization strategies
- Ensure ROI on major technology investments and initiatives
Vendor & Stakeholder Management- Manage strategic vendor partnerships, contracts, and performance
- Lead vendor risk management and issue resolution
- Build consensus across stakeholders through transparent and effective communication
Team Leadership & Culture- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, service-oriented technology organization
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Support professional growth and development across the IT team

QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 15+ years of progressive IT experience
- 10+ years in IT or business leadership roles
- 5-7+ years in senior leadership within a large, complex healthcare organization or vendor environment
