Chief Nursing Officer Opportunity - Behavioral Health

Coastal Harbor Health System offers compassionate care when you or your loved ones need it most. Our two facilities, Coastal Behavioral Health and Coastal Harbor Treatment Center, are conveniently located in Savannah, Georgia, but we accept patients from many states across the country.

Coastal Behavioral Health serves men and women, ages 18 and up, with high quality, affordable mental health services. Our team of psychiatric nurses, certified addiction counselors, discharge planners, recreational therapists and psychiatrists specializing in adult psychiatry and addiction medicine are here to help, and we offer both outpatient and acute inpatient programs to address the varying treatment needs. Our 50-bed acute inpatient hospital is designed to help those in crisis who may need a secure environment in which to begin their recovery.

Coastal Harbor Treatment Center is a 114-bed youth treatment facility serving children and adolescents, ages 4 to 17, with short-term or long-term inpatient care to cope with crisis situations or ongoing behavioral, mental or emotional difficulties. For some, growing up can be a challenge, and when it becomes unmanageable, the experts at Coastal Harbor Treatment Center are here to help. We also provide therapeutic foster care placement for children in need of short-term care from a loving family.

The Chief Nursing Officer is a key member of the Coastal Harbor Health System senior leadership team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a hands-on approach and keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The CNO participates in the hospital's strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. The CNO will focus on 5 key areas: People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • Licensure: Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of GA.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience
  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others' activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
