Expert-level networking certification (JNCIE, CCIE, or equivalent)

We're looking for a senior Chief Architect to lead enterprise architecture and technical strategy for a global government service provider mission. This person turns mission objectives into secure, scalable architectures that can grow, guides modernization across several technology domains, and acts as the trusted technical advisor to government leadership, program stakeholders, and engineering and delivery teams. The ideal candidate has led large cloud, data center, network, and cybersecurity transformation efforts and has mentored and built high-performing technical teams.
Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Alexandria, VA (candidate may work from either office) Clearance: Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility and the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive-level technical leadership and Enterprise Architecture oversight across network, cloud, data center, security, and application domains
Develop and maintain future-state technology roadmaps aligned to mission objectives and operational requirements
Lead the design of secure, resilient, and scalable architectures, including IP fabric, SD-WAN, DCI, NFV, and next-generation automation platforms
Drive modernization initiatives, including on-prem to cloud migration strategies across private, public, and hybrid environments
Conduct architecture, security, and network assessments; identify gaps and deliver recommendations based on best practices
Serve as the primary technical advisor to government leadership and program stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (additional years of relevant experience may substitute)
20+ years of IT experience, including 10+ years in senior architecture or technical leadership roles
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise architecture for federal, DoD, or large service provider environments
Deep expertise in network architecture (service provider and enterprise routing and switching, data center fabrics, WAN/SD-WAN)
Experience with cloud architecture and migration strategy across private, public, and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, DISA milCloud, or equivalent)
Experience designing or assessing cybersecurity stacks and tool suites
Expert-level networking certification (JNCIE, CCIE, or equivalent)
