Chief Engineer

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of hotel engineering experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general construction.
• Vocational training or an associate's degree in a relevant field; certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various schedules, including nights and weekends.
• Team-oriented mindset focused on enhancing guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel meets operational standards for the Engineering Department.
• Conduct regular assessments of hotel maintenance and operations.
• Manage the Preventive Maintenance Program for rooms and public areas.
• Collaborate with hotel management and the General Manager.
• Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff, including coaching and counseling.
• Maintain hotel grounds for an excellent guest arrival experience.
• Implement safety and emergency procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
