Full Job Description
As a member of the Operations Team, the Chief Clinical Officer for Hospice Services is
responsible to the Vice President, Chief Operating Officer (VP/COO) for the clinical and
operational results of all hospice programs across every NorthStar Care Community
(NSCC) hospice NPI. This position is accountable for the delivery of hospice care in the
home, in contracted facilities, and in the inpatient residences, and for one standard of
clinical practice, one set of documentation expectations, and one level of performance
regardless of brand, region, or NPI. The Chief Clinical Officer assures compliance with
the Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation, state licensure, and accreditation
requirements for all hospice NPIs, directs the hospice quality and patient experience
program, and maintains the hospice staffing model and clinical operations budget.
