Job DescriptionCentrillion is seeking a creative, energetic, resourceful and success-oriented organic chemist to join a multidisciplinary research team developing new technologies for nucleic acid sequence analysis.
- PhD in organic chemistry, including training and practical laboratory experience in synthetic-, physical- and bio-organic chemistry.
- Expertise in the use of methods of instrumental chemical analysis instrumentation, such as HPLC, MS, NMR, FTIR, etc., is essential.
- Experience with nucleoside, nucleotide, and oligonucleotide chemistry.
- Working knowledge and practical experience with polymer and surface chemistry is also desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute independent and collaborative research projects.
- Hands-on attitude and innovative approach to problem solving.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Co-authorship on one or more publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Qualifications- Plan and carry out research experiments involving synthesis and modification of nucleotides and oligonucleotides; and the analysis of their characteristics in various biochemical reactions.
- Collaborate with and/or supervise other research scientists & associates on relevant joint projects.
