As
Chef de Cuisine, you will partner closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure culinary excellence across multiple dining platforms, and help foster a positive, collaborative team culture. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who enjoys balancing hands-on food production, team leadership, innovation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Support the successful execution of daily culinary operations across multiple service stations and dining venues
- Serve as the culinary leader in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring seamless operations and consistent guest satisfaction
- Prepare and present high-quality food that reflects Bon Appétit's commitment to fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients
- Maintain compliance with HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating current culinary trends and guest preferences
- Support inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and product utilization efforts
- Partner with leadership to manage food costs, labor efficiency, and operational budgets
- Help recruit, train, coach, and develop culinary team members while fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture
- Collaborate with front-of-house and catering teams to deliver successful special events and elevated guest experiences
- Lead production for high-volume meal periods, catering functions, and campus events
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation, consistency, and attention to detail
What We're Looking For- Culinary degree, certificate, or equivalent professional culinary training preferred
- Experience leading culinary operations in high-volume foodservice, corporate dining, hospitality, restaurant, or catering environments
- Ability to oversee multiple stations and services while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP standards, and kitchen best practices
- Experience with menu development, purchasing, inventory management, and cost controls
- Background supporting large-scale catering, banquet, or special event production
- Strong coaching and team development skills with a collaborative leadership style
- Passion for sustainable sourcing, seasonal ingredients, and farm-to-fork cooking
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- Multi-unit or multi-service culinary operations
- Corporate dining, technology campus, university, or hospitality foodservice experience
- Batch cooking and high-volume food production
- Scratch cooking and seasonal menu execution
- Large-scale catering and banquet event experience
