Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) in nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred, particularly in neonatal care.
• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to patient care, and maintained throughout employment.
• RNs with less than 1 year experience must complete nurse residency program.

Responsibilities

• Systematically assess and reassess individual health care needs appropriate to specific patient conditions.
• Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes by involving the patient and healthcare team.
• Provide nursing care through evidence-based interventions to meet care objectives.
• Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge.
• Lead department in the absence of the Nurse Manager, demonstrating leadership skills.
• Promote effective bedside handoff during shift changes to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain ACLS certification and participate in relevant training to ensure up-to-date skills.
