Full Job Description
1. Provides comprehensive and extensive technical support in planning and monitoring the activities that are necessary to complete a business analysis effort and identifying the stakeholders, selection of business analysis techniques, process that will be used to manage requirements, and how to assess the progress of work. 2. Oversees the work with stakeholders to identify and understand needs, concerns, and environment or business in which they work.Consults with stakeholders by underlying that their needs are understood by interviewing and documenting for verification. 3. Manages all complex conflicts, issues and changes to requirement in order to ensure stakeholders and the project team are all in agreement on the solution scope.    Reviews and determines how requirements are communicated and how the knowledge obtained is maintained for current and future use. 4. Responsible for managing the business need, refines and clarifies the definition of that need, and designs and produces a solution scope that can feasibly be implemented by the business.  Oversees the development of the business case. 5. Prioritizes the solution requirements that meet the needs of the sponsoring organization which includes analyzing stakeholders needs to deliver solutions that meet those needs, assessing the current state of the business to identify and provide improvements, and to verify and validate the resulting requirements on newly developed or on existing business and systems process to business unit or function. 6. Designs and proposes solutions which can best fit the business need, identifies gaps and shortcoming in solutions, and determines necessary work-around or changes to the solution.  Oversees that the solution was deployed, validates the needs of the business were met and the solution scope was achieved. 7. Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise. 8. Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities. 9. Highly flexible and adaptable to change. Multi-disciplinary expert with authoritative knowledge of business analysis and all of the business analyst function competencies.  Authoritative knowledge in business specific and industry knowledge and fundamentals.  Experience in extensive and wide range of situations.   Knowledge in developing standards or best practices. Skills in translating broad strategic intent into tactical plans and directions.  Excellent leadership, analytical, conflict management and negotiation skills are required. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.  Organizational skills are required to develop and monitor projects/business process plans. Requires a college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience, organization and leadership skills that provides knowledge to the functional business.   Demonstrates excellent experience in change initiatives, covering such areas as operations, IT and product development; with a track record of accomplishment in large, complex projects and change initiatives. Salary Range: $114,700 - 194,900 USD Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
